Bill: Holy Bologna sandwich. Amy: Split a half slab of ribs with Tay.
I searched out this little mom and pop BBQ joint before our trip. No tourist trap BBQ for me.
Small dine-in. Packed when we walked in. A family was leaving, so we got a table.
The Holy Bologna was huge — over a pound. Thick grilled bologna, pulled pork, onions, pickles, nacho cheese, lettuce, sweet jalapeño mustard, and BBQ sauce. I took half home.
Amy usually doesn’t like dry-rub ribs like they serve here. She loved these. Tender, moist, fall-off-the-bone.
Tater salad and coleslaw were good too.
Friendly owner at the register. Had a nice chat with her.
